Avon and Somerset is a policing region in the South West of England. It consists of the counties of Bath and North East Somerset, the City of Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. Excluding the county of Somerset, this is the same geographic area known as Avon until 1996.

Secretary (& Acting Chair)- Plamen Pelov - Email
Plamen has been a Neighbourhood Watch coordinator in Avon & Somerset for 7 years and also volunteers as a Multi‑Scheme Administrator (MSA) with Neighbourhood Watch. He is committed to supporting local residents and is enthusiastic about improving community safety and strengthening neighbourhood connections.
Plamen has kindly offered to take on the role of Acting Chair while we recruit for a replacement.
IT/ Website - Nick Gough - Email
Nick has been involved in NhW for 40 years. He has held positions at National, Regional, Area and Street levels. Nick is a NhW coordinator in Portishead, North Somerset and is passionate about promoting and growing NhW to strengthen communities and make them more resilient to crime.
We are looking for new committee members who are passionate about Neighbourhood Watch
We are all volunteers, so we are not expecting you to dedicate yourself to a role full time. All we ask is that you are an existing NhW Coordinator, passionate about NhW and do what you can, when you can. You choose the days and amount of time you want to volunteer for us. All we ask is if you commit to delivering something, you do that.
Our current team is small but experienced, enthusiastic and we all support each other. We can help you develop your skills - be that Adminstrative, Managerial or IT. Volunteering for us will be rewarding and whether you are just starting out in your career, looking to gain experience or you are seasoned professional, looking to expand your skills or fill your time, we have a role for you.
